Here is what is left of my sweet Rosemary...Basil followed in her footsteps and the fortune of Chives and Parsley are soon to be the same. All freezer bound to spend the duration of their existence, through the Midwestern Winter.
I'm rather sad to see that summer is basically gone, especially knowing what is to come. Thankfully, I will have these little herbal reminders of the days that have gone by...and the sunny days that will come again.

I know where you're comin from as I eyeball my beautiful basil and parsley plants...soon to be crispy critters...I don't want to play anymore...did someone say Florida...lol, neat shot though.

Well this super shot is a lovely reminder of what's left of your rosemary. The patterns are so cool! Rosemary grows wild & crazy where I am all year round. I guess winter here is a lot milder than your winter. I must confess that I moan & groan during winter, but I'd never survive a proper winter. With really cold temps. So I shouldn't moan. But where's the fun in that? ;D
I really know where your coming from as the last of my tomatoes are now covered in snow...AAAAA! I love this shot, I can't tell what the shadow is of, a lawn chair perhaps, love the mystery of it!
Yep - we are just finishing up the canning of tomatoes and we were just saying that we needed to go cut off the herbs before the frost hit! Thanks for the prod!!
Love the shadow from your window - very soft and fun!

I love the scent of Rosemary. I like the shadow patterns behind the green color of the rosemary. This would look great in a garden or recipe magazine.
